NewJeans are making a comeback in December!
On 18 October, a media outlet reported that NewJeans would release a new album in early December. The very same day, NewJeans' agency, ADOR said in a phone call with the Korean media company Herald POP, "We will reveal the comeback schedule of NewJeans when it is confirmed." This basically confirmed the fact that the group are in fact coming back in December.
After releasing their eponymous debut album 'NewJeans' in August, NewJeans have been actively promoting the 3 singles from it, 'Attention', 'Hype Boy' and 'Cookie', all of which have been huge hits both domestically (in Korea) and internationally demonstrating their power as one of the monster rookies of this year. Their first album immediately established the group as a rising star who will lead the K-pop scene in the future. They even took over the first and second place spot in the Melon charts, the music site with the largest number of users in Korea, with 'Attention' and 'Hype Boy' which was a first for 4th gen girl groups. Fans are predicting that they are going to be one of the most popular groups in the Kpop scene going forward.
NewJeans will release their new album in early December and continue to take over the Kpop scene.
According to another report, NewJeans also recently finished filming a music video possibly for this December comeback but nothing about this news has been confirmed officially.
