BTS have once again broken a record for selling an impressive amount of albums!
BTS recently came back with their first anthology album. On 10 June the group released Proof and fans have been loving the new songs on the album and the music video for the title track, Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment). This is the first album the group have released since 2020’s BE so fans have been anticipating it for a while. Fans have been loving the new songs on the album.
Breaking records and selling a gazillion albums isn’t a new thing for BTS. They have been doing this on the regular for the past few years. And they have done it again with Proof. According to Hanteo Chart, in just the first week of release i.e. 10 June to 16 June, the album has sold an unbelievable 2,752,496 copies. This makes Proof the most sold album in a week since release of 2022. Additionally, Proof has also become the album with the second-highest first-week sales out of all albums recorded/tracked by Hateo till date. The most sold album in its first week of release is BTS’ own Map of the Soul:7 that came out in 2020. Map of the Soul:7 sold a jaw dropping 3,378,633 copies in the first week.
With this record for Proof, BTS now claim all four top spots in the highest first-week sales in Hanteo history. Map of the Soul: 7 in first place, Proof in second place, BE in third place with 2,274,882 copies sold in the first week, and Map of the Soul: Persona in fourth place with 2,130,480 copies of it sold in first week since release.
