Blackpink officially announce their comeback plans with a new trailer!
Blackpink have been teasing us about their upcoming comeback for months now. The members have already let slip their comeback plans to fans on various occasions this year and their fans couldn’t be more excited about it. After all, it's the group’s first release since 2020.
This will be Blackpink’s first comeback as a full group in about a year and 10 months time. Their last release was 2020’s The Album which was their first full-length album. The group released a pre-release title, How You Like That, and a special collaboration single, Ice Cream ft. Selena Gomez, leading up to the album’s release.
On 1 August, the group dropped a 30 seconds long video to their official social media sites with the title, ‘BLACKPINK - 'BORN PINK' ANNOUNCEMENT TRAILER’. In it, the group simply announced that they will put out a pre-release single in August and the actual album is releasing sometime in September. Additionally, the trailer video also announces that the quartet will embark on their world tour right after they wrap up comeback promotions - in October. An upcoming world tour was also something the members were hinting at.

Earlier this week, their management company, YG Entertainment claimed that the music video for this upcoming comeback will be the group’s most expensive production till date.
A YG representative said, “The highest production cost has been put in,” adding that the whole process (of comeback preparation) is proceeding pretty smoothly as they have been preparing for it in an organized fashion with a thorough plan.
The group also released a music video for their song Ready For Love in collaboration with PUBG Mobile on 29 July.
