aespa To Perform At Coachella Main Stage This Week, The Set Includes A New Song

With a number of Kpop acts under 88Rising and Epik High performing during the first week of Coachella, Kpop created a buzz among music lovers who were previously clueless or ignorant about the genre. And it looks like that hasn’t ended as we will get another big Kpop act at the American music festival this very year!

aespa is confirmed to take over the main stage this weekend at Coachella. This will be the quartet - which consists of members Karina, Giselle, Winter and Ningning - 's first live performance in the US.

On 20 April, aespa’s Twitter account also posted:

aespa becomes KPOP’s first girl group to be invited to perform on the main stage of America's biggest music festival, #Coachella! Setlist includes some of their hottest tracks along with an unreleased new song! Their much anticipated performance will take place on April 23!

Some avid fans of the girl group had been speculating that the group might perform at Coachella since aespa had been teasing their visit to LA on their Instagram stories a few days ago. Also, fans thought Kpop journalist Jeff Benjamin cryptically tweeting things like “And in the spirit of Coachella, I hear there are great surprises in store 👀” and “aespa is so clever” was hinting at the SM girl group pulling out a surprise performance at the music festival

In another news, aespa are also working on their comeback. Although we don’t have any release date or official confirmation from their company about this, the girls themselves talked about the concept of the upcoming comeback in an interview with Allure Korea.

Watch them talk about it in the video below!
