'Girls' broke the new record of pre-orders for K-pop girl groups (1.61 million copies), followed by sales of 1.42 million copies (based on the circle chart) in the first week of release, making aespa the first million-seller K-pop girl group.
In addition, with this album, aespa entered number #3 on the US Billboard's main chart 'Billboard 200', achieving the highest ranking of K-pop girl groups this year. Among all K-pop girl groups, it is the second highest ranking after Blackpink and the same score as Twice. As a leader of the 4th generation K-pop girl group, aespa’s success has become comparable to the other major K-pop girl groups like Blackpink and Twice.
Along with this, aespa also got third place on the 'Artist 100' chart, which shows an artist's influence and recognition in the United States at a glance as one of the major charts on Billboard.
aespa will participate in 'SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS @HUMAN CITY_SUWON' to be held at the Suwon World Cup Stadium on 20 August.
