Stray Kids Become Double Million Seller After MAXIDENT Sells Over 2 Million Copies In Less Than A Week

The JYP boy group Stray Kids became a 'double million seller' by selling more than 2 million copies of their recent album in less than six days.

According to the data officially compiled by Hanteo Chart, the world's only real-time chart, Stray Kids' 7th mini album 'MAXIDENT', released on the 7 October, exceeded the cumulative sales of 2 million copies by 12 October. As of the writing of this article, MAXIDENT has sales of 2,001,910 copies recorded.

'MAXIDENT' surpassed 1.3 million copies in sales from the first day of release, surpassing the sales of the group’s 6th mini album 'ODDINARY', which was their previous best first week sales record, to become a 'million seller'. As a result, Stray Kids became the third artist after BTS and Seventeen to reach 2 million copies sold within the first week of release.

Additionally, Hanteo Chart also announced that it will award the 'First Week Sales Million Certification Plaque' to Stray Kids.

The title track from MAXIDENT, CASE 143, has a love theme and equates the intricate feelings of love to a "case." The song is written and composed by the group's producing team 3RACHA, which includes members Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han. This is the first Stray Kids title track that is a love song and fans are loving this side of the 8 member boy group.
