After wrapping up Bigbang’s comeback with Still Life, it looks like G Dragon is preparing for his solo comeback right now.
The idol uploaded pictures of him at what looks like a recording studio on 22 June to his personal Instagram stories. G Dragon hinted at a potential comeback by adding singing GIFs and captioning one of the pictures, ‘On Air.’ He is wearing a pair of headphones on his head for one of the pictures - giving an intense look at the camera. This made fans excitedly speculate about an upcoming comeback from the Bigbang member sometime soon.
If these speculations are in fact true, it will be G Dragon’s first solo musical release in over five years. His last album, Kim Jiyoung, came out back in 2017. ‘Kim Jiyoung’ is actually his full Korean name so his last album was basically eponymous. Kim Jiyoung was a hit among fans and critics alike. Ever since then, fans have been waiting for the YG rapper to drop another album.
Back in 2020 too, there were rumors and speculations about a G Dragon but that didn’t amount to anything. We hope that isn’t the case right now as we miss GD’s creative and conceptual performances.
When he isn’t preparing for a solo comeback, G Dragon has been busy attending Chanel fashion shows, shooting an editorial for Vogue magazine and exploring the city of Paris (France).
