BTS has won the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI)’s Global Recording Artist of the Year award yet again!
Other artists who made it into the top ten include Taylor Swift, Adele, Drake, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, Justin Beiber, Seventeen and Olivia Rodrigo. Kpop fans were also excited to see BTS’ fellow Hybe label mates, Seventeen, make it to this list.
Every year IFPI acknowledges the most popular musical artist across the world covering all of their work and music across digital as well as more traditional forms of music and streaming.
BTS won this award for the first time last year and were actually the first Asian artist to win it. This year they made another record by being the first musical artist to win this prestigious award two times in a row.
Congratulations to BTS!
