AKMU's Lee Chanhyuk has recently been linked with girl group Fromis_9 member Lee Saerom.
YG Entertainment, AKMU's agency, told Maeil Business Star Today on 20 October, "It is difficult to confirm the dating rumors of Lee Chanhyuk and Saerom because it is the artist's private life."
Recently, rumors of a relationship between Chanhyeok and Saerom have been spreading in online communities. A netizen sparked dating rumors by posting a story claiming, "Lee Chanhyuk and Saerom came to a workshop run by an acquaintance of mine and bought a piece of their (art) work."
Some fans had been suspecting the two artists dating even before this story that got viral got posted. Some netizens are speculating that the two have been dating for a year after finding a photo Lee Chanhyeok had posted while visiting a kitchenware store in October last year on his social media. Incidentally, Saerom also posted a photo taken at the same place on her own social media.
Another netizen commented that Chan-hyeok Lee and Saerom wear rings of a similar design and frequently share similar flower drawings, which might be indicative of them dating.
Fans are hoping netizens and fans leave the two singers alone whether they are dating or not - especially Saerom as usually female celebrities are criticized more than their male counterparts for dating in South Korea. Saerom’s label, Source Music, hasn’t made any comments about these rumors.
Chanhyuk Lee recently released his full length solo album 'ERROR' on 17 October. After debuting as Fromis_9 in 2018, Saerom has been active with her group and released hit songs such as ‘WE GO’, ‘LOVE BOMB’, and ‘FEEL GOOD’.
