According to the first week sales data provided by Hanteo Chart, 134,682 copies of 28 Reasons were recorded on 4 October, the first day of release. Next, 9,628 copies were sold on 5 October, 4,829 copies on 6 October, 13,737 copies on 7 October, 840 copies on 8 October, 153 copies on 9 October, and 20,544 copies on 10 October. All in all the album sold a total of 184,413 copies in this period.

With this album, Seulgi took first place in the daily album rankings on 4 October. 28 Reasons contains six songs in various moods, including the title song of the same name, all of which showcases Seulgi's unique music color and colorful charm. Also included is the first song Seulgi wrote the lyrics for, Dead Man Runnin'.

The title song 28 Reasons is a pop dance song with a signature groovy and heavy bass and whistling sound. The lyrics depict a character who has both good and evil inside them and has a pure interest in the person they like with a playful sense of humor appearing and raising questions about the numerous reasons surrounding our relationship.

Seulgi, who has been active not only in Red Velvet activities, but also in unit and collaboration activities such as Red Velvet Irene & Seulgi and GOT The Beat, has firmly established her position as a solo artist through this album. As she has established herself as an 'all-rounder queen' and we look forward to seeing what Seulgi will show in the future.
