If you haven’t heard already, Mnet’s popular competition show Queendom is getting a second season!
The first season of the show featured many popular girl groups and solo artists like Mamamoo, Park Bom, Oh My Girl, AOA, Lovelyz and (G)-idle.
Mamamoo, who won the show, got a lot of publicity for their comeback right after the show as their prize. All the other groups who participated also saw a boost in their popularity after appearing in Queendom. Especially Oh My Girl whose popularity peaked after the show. Their following comeback – Nonstop and Dolphin – were some of the most popular songs of 2020.
Queendom season 1 was followed by Road To Kingdom and Kingdom – airing in 2020 and 2021, respectively. Both of these shows featured boy groups.
Finally in 2022, we’re getting another girl group focusing season of the show. Mnet released a teaser for the show on their Youtube channel on 3 February that revealed that the first episode of Queendom 2 is airing on 31 March at 9:20 pm Korea Standard Time.
The artist lineup for Queendom 2 is yet to be confirmed. Fans are already coming up with their wishlist of groups they want to see in the show. Who is on your list? Leave your thoughts in the comments!
