JYP Entertainment is well known in the Kpop world for debuting great girl groups who go on to become one of the most successful artists in their era. So far, all of their Korean girl groups - Wonder Girls, Miss A, Twice and Itzy - have seen phenomenal success. So, fans have high expectations whenever the company announces they are debuting a new girl group.
This is why Nmixx’s debut was a highly anticipated event. After getting fans hyped for months showcasing all the members’ skills through videos on the group’s Youtube channel, the group finally made their debut on 22 February with the track O.O from their single album Ad Mare.
Although the song’s unconventional structure and progression had a divisive reception upon release, the track seems to already have won fans over as a lot of listeners are talking about how they just needed some time to be familiar with the song and are now fully enjoying it.
