Kpop idols are always giving us great fashion moments. And a new one came to us this month from NCT member Johnny Suh while he was attending the prestigious MET Gala this year.
Johnny was the only Kpop idol to attend the event this year. On 3 May, he showed up to the red carpet in a custom design by Vietnamese designer Peter Do at the fashion gala.
The all black look featured a long suit jacket that trails behind Johnny over a fitting waistcoat, formal trousers and sleek black shoes. The whole outfit is made from a shiny silk fabric making the NCT member shine - literally - wherever he went. He topped the look with a side slick swept hairdo and his overflowing confidence and charisma made sure he was a head turner at the event.

Suffice to say, NCTzens were fawning over his good looks and rejoicing him attending the MET Gala the whole day. According to a ranking published by a U.S. market research company Netbase Quid on 4 May, Johnny was apparently the most tweeted male celebrity at the event having a whopping 240,000 tweets about him attending the event. Johnny shared a story about this ranking expressing his appreciation for fans, captioning it, “NCTzens are the besssttt”.
Like Johnny, it was designer Peter Do’s first time at the MET Gala too. Peter, who got his designing degree at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City with a major in Fashion Design, is famous for his original and unorthodox designs. He won the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers in 2014 and has worked at Céline and for designer Derek Lam.
