MBTI has taken over Blood Type as the defining personality indicator in the Kpop world in the past few years. It has gotten to the point that you will find it mentioned on every Kpop idol’s profile alongside their zodiac, height, full name and other details. Idols have also been putting out content where they take the MBTI test, discuss the type’s traits with their group members, or get put through surprise tests by their video production crew to see if they fit their type or not.
Till date everyone from Seventeen
to Twice have put out MBTI content.
According to Wikipedia, MBTI or Myers–Briggs Type Indicator is an introspective self-report questionnaire indicating differing psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions. The test attempts to assign four categories: introversion or extraversion, sensing or intuition, thinking or feeling, judging or perceiving. One letter from each category is taken to produce a four-letter test result, such as "INTJ" or "ESFP". There are a total of 16 MBTI types.
In a video uploaded to their Youtube channel on 5 May, the members of Le Sserafim individually answer questions about their thoughts, opinions and feelings. Later, all of them get their MBTI results - giving fans a good insight into their personalities. Additionally, the group also shared the member’s type on their Instagram stories.
Starting with the leader, Chaewon is an ISTP. A Virtuoso (ISTP) is someone with the Introverted, Observant, Thinking, and Prospecting personality traits. They tend to have an individualistic mindset, pursuing goals without needing much external connection. They engage in life with inquisitiveness and personal skill, varying their approach as needed.
Another member shares this MBTI with Chaewon. Garam is also an ISTP.
The group’s eldest member Sakura is an INTP. A Logician (INTP) is someone with the Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Prospecting personality traits. These flexible thinkers enjoy taking an unconventional approach to many aspects of life. They often seek out unlikely paths, mixing willingness to experiment with personal creativity.
Member Yunjin is an INFJ. An Advocate (INFJ) is someone with the Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging personality traits. They tend to approach life with deep thoughtfulness and imagination. Their inner vision, personal values, and a quiet, principled version of humanism guide them in all things.
Continuing with the introvertedness that has been a common trait among the members whose MBTI has been revealed till now, the group’s maknae, Eunchae is an ISFP. An Adventurer (ISFP) is a person with Introverted, Observant, Feeling, and Prospecting personality traits. They tend to have open minds, approaching life, new experiences, and people with grounded warmth. Their ability to stay in the moment helps them uncover exciting potentials.
Lastly, Kazuha is the only extroverted member of the group with the MBTI ENFP. A Campaigner (ENFP) is someone with the Extraverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Prospecting personality traits. These people tend to embrace big ideas and actions that reflect their sense of hope and goodwill toward others. Their vibrant energy can flow in many directions.
