Lee Chaeyeon, a former member of the girl group Iz*one, will finally make her much awaited solo debut. She has confirmed her solo debut news.
According to a report by News1 that came out on 15 September, Lee Chaeyeon will release a new album in October which will mark her debut as a solo singer.
The very same day, Chaeyeon’s company WM Entertainment confirmed this news and announced, "Lee Chaeyeon is preparing a solo album with the goal of releasing it in October."
Lee Chaeyeon participated in Mnet's 'Produce 48' in 2018 and was one of the finalists of the show so she debuted in the project group Iz*one in the same year and participated in activities as an Iz*one member for about two years - right up until Iz*one disbanded in 2020.
After that, Lee Chaeyeon, who returned to her original agency WM Entertainment, continued to sharpen her skills with the goal of making a solo debut, and her debut came to fruition after months of preparations, 4 years after she officially debuted in the music industry. As the main dancer of IZ*ONE, she received much love for her feather-light dance lines and solid singing ability. Last year, on Mnet's 'Street Woman Fighter', she joined as a crew member of Team WANT and made an outstanding performance as a dancer.
Lee Chaeyeon is the fourth member of IZ*ONE to confirm her solo career after Kwon Eunbi, Jo Yuri, and Choi Yena. Currently, Lee Chaeyeon is in the midst of final work ahead of her solo debut.
Lee Chaeyeon, who has been drawing a lot of attention by recording high views on every choreography video released through various broadcasts and contents, is raising expectations that she will take off as a 'next-generation performance queen' through her solo debut.
