Bigbang Top Global Music Charts & Break Multiple Records With New Comeback

We still aren’t over the fact that the kings of Kpop, Bigbang, are finally back in the scene. They released their first comeback in over four years on 5 April and it’s just as fantastic as one would expect it to be.

And it looks like we, at Kpoppr, aren’t the only ones who are loving this comeback. The group got number one on many music charts throughout the world and broke multiple records with their recent single, Still Life.

Still life has become the first and only single that crossed a million sales mark in China since they restricted a single account buying multiple copies of the same single or album digitally.

Another feat the track has achieved is reaching number one on iTunes at 36 different countries throughout the world including Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Finland, France, Argentina, Australia, Mexico, Peru, Hong Kong, Japan, Indonesia, Brazil, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines and Saudi Arabia among others. Still Life debuted number one on the iTunes worldwide songs list, is in the Top Songs USA chart and has reached as far as number three on it, and even got number three on the iTunes Europe chart.

Additionally, Bigbang also achieved a Perefct All Kill (PAK) on the Korean music charts. PAK is extremely difficult to achieve as a song has to be number one in all the actieve music charts in South Korea at the same time to get it. Additionally, the song also got over 500,000 unique listeners in the Korean charts after a mere 12 hours since release.

Similarly, just an hour after Still Life’s release, the hashtag, #BIGBANG_STILLLIFE, got number one on Worldwide Trends on Twitter too.

All we can say is, deserved!! The group delivered - both with the music, meaning and video - this comeback. We have had Still Life on repeat since it was released. How do you feel about it? Tell us in the comments!
