aespa Release Intro Film Teasing Comeback With 2nd Mini Album

It’s been a minute since the last aespa comeback. But fear not Mys because the group has just announced their comeback!

aespa uploaded a 15 second clip to their Youtube channel on 1 June titled, ‘Girls’ INTRO. The clip shows a glossy stage set up amidst small CGI mountains and the letters, GIRLS, materializes on top of it in a font that is very much in line with aespa’s futuristic concept and the words ‘aespa The 2nd Mini Album GIRLS’ below it.

The description of the video states, ‘aespa's 2nd Mini Album "Girls" will be released on July 8th’, announcing that the girl group is coming back next month. Check out the clip below!

The official social media accounts of aespa has also changed their profile pictures to the ‘Girls’ logo and header to the glossy stage and mountain picture from the Intro clip.

This is the aespa release since Savage which came out in October of last year. As the SM Entertainment girl group practically blew up last year with their two hits Next Level and Savage, fans are curious as to what sonic and visual route the group will take on this comeback.

In the meantime, aespa recently performed at the Coachella Music Festival in April - making them the second Kpop girl group to grace the legendary musical stage. Fans present were impressed with their live singing and overall performance. Additionally, clips of the group performing at various Korean University Festivals have been circulating on the internet currently.

In other news, the group was recently included in Forbes’s 30 Under 30 Asia list for 2022. Describing the girl group Forbes stated, “Making their debut in 2020 with the single ‘Black Mamba,’ the quartet is already one of the hottest girl groups in K-pop. aespa’s most popular song is ‘Next Level,’ released in May 2021, with more than 215 million views on YouTube”

We are ready for a new aespa era! How do you feel about this? Tell us in the comments!
